Metamorphosis
By Rod McIntosh
Materials: Cut and Collaged Paintings.
Dimensions: 103 x 103 x 4 cm
Year: 2024
This piece was the first in a series of collages, utilising one of the paintings I made during my residency at the Makers Space in Bankside back in 2019 and 2020.
These are cut and collaged paintings, recycled and repurposed into new works. They celebrate and commemorate the original artwork as a legacy or heritage. These pieces are meant to be remembered and acknowledged as the passage of time passes. As we appreciate the new artefact and its presence with us, we are reminded that nothing is permanent.
