I use ash from my fire pit to make paint specifically for the trees. Also, I use microcrystalline wax which is a petroleum byproduct. I use this to make impasto.
What Inspired You To Explore Sustainable Practices Or Environmental Images In Your Work?
I hate waste and I find that in my practice I make everything from the gesso and paint and using old master trusted techniques there is no waste and no factory causing pollution.

I feel that artists are tasked with bringing attention to issues that impact the world and they are lucky enough to do it through art and share not only beauty but also a message.
