Winner of numerous art awards from the British Council and distinction for her degree on conceptual contemporary art practice, Minna George paints daily in her London studio and enjoys an outstanding response for her paintings.

‘I choose to make my own paints from pigments and work on canvas using natural materials, gold leaf and raw pigments. I am interested in experimentation, mainly by multi-layering a thin almost transparent layer of colour. The rhythm and visual depth achieved where the layers are more is the composition itself; ultimately the idea is to achieve maximum depth by adding and removing layers. The essence of my work is that it is unique from the very core of it and each colour is prepared specially.
